YOUR JOURNEY TO MASTERY
Become a
Member
In order to evaluate and progress in the Harimau Berantai system, you have to be a member of the organization. Becoming a member mean that you will have access to the history, philosophy and techniques of Silat from the source under the guidance of world renown grandmaster and historian Professor Jak Othman.
We are a strong and dedicated group of practitioners that believe strongly in fellowship and maintaining the integrity and lineage of Harimau Berantai Silat. Therefore online practitioners that wish to advance must be mentored by a senior HB practitioner. You can train with that teacher online if you are not local but they must guide you and authorize your evaluation request
Once you have subscribed for training and log into your training curriculum, you will be able to access your training and evaluation form. Print this document and keep track of your hours of training. It is import to track dates and times as this document will have to be signed by your instructor and turned in during your evaluation.

Attend
Seminars
Any member wishing to progress has to attend at least 6 hours of an HB seminar with the Prof Jak per module. Prof comes to the US twice a year and is hosted by several reps. across the US. Normally one day of the seminar is 3-4 hours. You can attend any seminar at any location with the reps permission.
Note: We recognize in person training may not be possible due to covid restrictions and until those are lifted online seminars with Prof Jak are acceptable.
Submit for
evaluation
Once you have met the requirements for training in a specific module, with your instructors blessing you will be able to evaluate. Evaluations are only done by Prof Jak.
After receiving approval from your teacher to evaluate you will have to submit your evaluation sheet and evaluation request form to the seminar coordinator at the event you attend. At this event a time will be set aside for you to be evaluated by the reps at that event and Prof Jak.
